To Poppin’s mom, with love

Darling, for every day that you curse me and blame me for inspiring you to have two darling ย babies or home birthday parties, I offer you this. A bowl of atta and two sets of baby hands ๐Ÿ™‚ An absolute delight to watch. Try it. I also dedicate this to MayG, Mona, Ro and all the others who are still cussing me out.

  1. Aww.. did they get so little again? ๐Ÿ˜€

And its funny how I’d love playing with atta as a kid and moulding it in different shapes and the very same atta makes me run miles now ๐Ÿ˜›

So doesn’t it get very messy? I can see the newspaper spread out, but do you have to clean up afterwards?

    • not very much, you know. they manage to stay on the newspaper and i sweep up the little dust afterwards. my old kitchen was massive so they played in there. now i have to have them in my living room so the activity is dying out ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

  2. This is the first activity that my sister sets out for my girls, if I leave them in her care and boy do they have a blast!, more than playdough for sure :).

  3. Tell me they make bindis ans stick on each other and make wall art and then play holi with the dry atta. Please! It cant be just my kid.

PS: It is so nice to see a Brat and Bean post.

  4. Don’t know if i have missed something..what’s all the cussing for…. ???
B&B look cute rolling out mini rotis. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. ๐Ÿ™‚ aww awww awwwwwwwww.

Am not cursing you anymore sweetheart. We are in a similar state of bliss here.

Although that atta usually ends up in sweetpea’s mouth much to poppin’s despair )

    God. I miss blogging.

  6. that reminded me of my childhood. ๐Ÿ™‚
and adulthood in fact … when i still don’t know how to make roti and could use tons of practice!! ๐Ÿ˜€

  7. well, the fun begins when theu sit on my kitchen slab and make the puris and when i try to shift them to the dining table becoz I have to make rotis, they say- then how will i do my work? i am making puri na?

  8. Our little fellow also loves rolling out his own little rotis. And he also demands atta on a daily basis for his atta modelling.Beats playdough anyday.
Dont kids look super cute when they try to do something so adultish with that intense look of concentration on their face trying very hard to get it right?

  9. Look at that! though I’m wondering where you hid the mess(!!) Last time I looked, the atta lump turned into a huge swampy puddle for the lego men! NOT fun (for me)…the bub had a great time!

  10. My ma alwez says that its for the benefit of the parents and childrenโ€ฆfor a couple to have 2 childrenโ€ฆ That way the children have each other and..once they are a liโ€™l grown up..say over 7, the couple will start getting more time with each other and won’t need to spend that much time parenting ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. sigh, for now i am still waiting for madam mehroo to be old enough to play with big sis and not try to sample the atta like everything else!
